Jake Cuenca Admits Dating Melissa Ricks

Actor Jake Cuenca finally admitted that he is dating young actress Melissa Ricks.

In his interview with "The Buzz" on Sunday, Cuenca said they’re going out on dates for more than a year now.

"To be more honest, this is the first time I'm going to say it also, we've been dating for a year and nine months," Cuenca said.

Cuenca described Ricks as his inspiration.

"This has been a challenging year for me… I mean gampanan ang apat na role ng sabay-sabay. Para maikayod mo ‘yon kailangan mo ng matinding inspirasyon at para sa akin ay malaking inspirasyon ko si Melissa," the actor said, referring to his upcoming projects.

During the interview, Cuenca also discussed his recent confrontation with fellow Kapamilya actor Jason Abalos.

He did not directly divulge what caused the confrontation, but rumors said it has something to do with Ricks. Report has it that Abalos has a long-time crush on the actress.

Cuenca is taking full responsibility over the incident, saying he could have confronted Abalos in a more mature way. He added that he learned a lot from the incident.

He also thanked Coco Martin for pacifying them and convincing them to fix things up.

Cuenca was romantically linked to Ricks after they worked together in ABS-CBN television program "Pedro Penduko," with Matt Evans as the lead star.

Evans is the former leading man of the actress.
